Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using StackSee's services.

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StackSee's website, API, browser extension, or any related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (whether personally or on behalf of an entity, "you") and StackSee ("we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in the Netherlands.
2. Description of Service
StackSee is a real-time technology intelligence platform that provides technographic enrichment services. Our Service includes:
- Website technology detection - real-time scanning and analysis of publicly accessible websites to identify the technologies, frameworks, and tools they use.
- Technographic enrichment API - a programmatic interface for integrating technology detection data into your applications, CRM systems, and sales workflows.
- Browser extension - a browser add-on that allows you to detect technologies on websites you visit.
- Bulk enrichment - the ability to submit multiple domains for analysis and receive structured technology data in return.
- Web application - a web-based interface for searching, browsing, and comparing technology data.
3. User Accounts and Responsibilities
3.1 Account Creation
Certain features of the Service require you to create an account. When you create an account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3.2 Account Security
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
3.3 Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the Service.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service or its infrastructure.
- Use the Service to scrape, crawl, or collect data from websites in violation of those websites' terms of service, where such use goes beyond what StackSee's Service provides.
- Use the Service to engage in competitive intelligence gathering that is unlawful or unethical.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service or any data obtained through the Service without our prior written consent.
- Use automated means to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable request volumes or constitutes abuse (beyond your plan's rate limits).
5. API Usage Terms
5.1 API Access
Access to the StackSee API is subject to rate limits and usage quotas as defined by your subscription plan. You agree to comply with these limits and not to circumvent them.
5.2 API Keys
API keys are confidential and should be treated as sensitive credentials. You are responsible for securing your API keys and must not share them publicly or embed them in client-side code. If you believe an API key has been compromised, you must regenerate it immediately.
5.3 Rate Limits
Each subscription tier includes specific rate limits and monthly quotas. Exceeding these limits may result in throttled requests or temporary suspension of API access. Persistent abuse may result in account termination.
5.4 Data Usage
Data obtained through the API may be used internally within your organization for sales prospecting, market research, and related business purposes. You may not resell raw API data as a standalone product or service without our written consent.
6. Payment Terms
6.1 Subscription Plans
StackSee offers the following tiers:
- Free - 100 enrichments per month at no cost, subject to rate limits.
- Growth - paid plan with increased enrichment volume, API access, CSV export, and CRM integration capabilities.
- Pro - paid plan with high-volume enrichment, bulk processing, webhooks, and native Salesforce/HubSpot integrations.
- Enterprise - custom plans with tailored limits, dedicated support, and SLA guarantees. Contact us for details.
Current pricing is available at stacksee.com/pricing. Enrichment credits do not expire.
6.2 Billing
Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected. All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as otherwise stated in these Terms.
6.3 Payment Processing
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. We do not store your payment card details. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge the payment method on file for recurring subscription fees.
6.4 Plan Changes
You may upgrade or downgrade your subscription at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately, and you will be charged a prorated amount for the remainder of the billing period. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing period.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.
7.1 Your Data
You retain ownership of any data you submit to the Service (such as domain lists for bulk enrichment). We will not share your submitted data with third parties, except as necessary to provide the Service.
7.2 Technology Data
Technology detection results are generated by analyzing publicly accessible website content. This data is factual in nature and is provided on an "as is" basis. We strive for accuracy but do not guarantee that detection results are complete or error-free.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, algorithms, design, documentation, and branding, is the intellectual property of StackSee and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without our prior written consent.
8.2 Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the Service without any obligation to you.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any defects will be corrected.
- In no event shall StackSee, its directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StackSee and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
11. Termination
11.1 Termination by You
You may cancel your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon cancellation, your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
11.2 Termination by Us
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms, is harmful to other users or the Service, or is otherwise objectionable.
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including, without limitation, intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) shall survive.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. For registered users, we may also send an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of the Netherlands.
14. General Provisions
14.1 Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StackSee regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
14.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
14.3 Waiver
The failure of StackSee to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
14.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
